Onion
Mushroom
Spring greens
Garlic
Tomato puree
2 beef Beef stock
300ml Guinness (original)

Boil the kettle and dissolve stock in 200ml water, pour the stock and two spoons of tomato paste into the pan then add the Guinness and bring to the boil. Once boiling transfer to the slow cooker
High – 4 hours
Low – 6-7 hours
Oh and stick in a bay leaf!
You can also add celery and any other veg you want to!
It’s such a versatile stew!

For the creamy mash I mash potatoes with butter and then mix through milk fluff it all up and then at the end mix in some soft cheese (Philadelphia) – you won’t regret it! It works better than cream I think. I also add pepper to my mash!

Garlicky greens –
Melt some butter in the frying pan, chuck in some grated garlic and a few splashes of water! Fry until they start to brown!

I haven’t put weights and measures apart from the Guinness as it will depend on how many you are cooking for! I’m sure you will figure it out!

If it’s too watery you can thicken with cornflour.
