With only 2 months till Xmas, I made Danish Slow cooker rice pudding in my slow cooker today only to realize that I had set the cooker on the warm function and not on High so it took 5 hours and 45 min to cook but absolutely worth it.
Here’s how I did it:
pour 2, 1/4 dl cold water
And 2 dl white rice (these r special porridge rice)
And 1 1/4 l of milk in the pot all together and put it on High for about 3-4 hour.
Method:
I stirred once in it every hour and keep checking it so the rice doesn’t get burnt at the bottom of the pot.
Just before serving add max 1 teaspoon salt in it and stir it around so U don’t taste the salt.
This is served hot and on top of it you pour cinnamon and ordinary sugar mixed together in a little bowl and finish it off with real butter and let it melt.
I hope u all will enjoy it as much as I do every time and its eaten before Christmas eve in Denmark. It gives u 4 portions and we save 1 portion for rice puddings pan cakes for the next day.
