Slow Cooker Pork Ribs – Honey BBQ
Ingredients:
3.75 lbs (or under 4 lbs) of pork ribs (love the ones from Aldi)
Sweet baby rays Honey BBQ sauce
1/2 cup Onion & 1 cloves Garlic
You will need this to make a dry rub:
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon paprika
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon fresh pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:
1. Remove the fat membrane from the ribs
2. Make your dry rub in a bowl
3. Pat your ribs with a paper towel and then use your hands to massage in the dry rub (both sides of meat)
4. Take the meat and place it into the slow cooker standing up (curl it around so it makes kind of a circle)
5. Take 1/2 cup chopped onions and throw it in the center, along with 2 minced gloves garlic
6. Pour 1/2 cup water into the slow cooker
7. Cover completely and cook on LOW for 6 hours
8. After the 6 hours is up, carefully remove the ribs with spatula and place onto a big flat baking pan
9. Slather with BBQ sauce both sides but mainly on top.
10. Put the oven on broil and add the ribs in ONLY for about 4-5 minutes so that the sauce caramelizes on top. Put on middle rack rather than too close to the heat.
11. Serve and enjoy!! I made with mashed potatoes, baked beans and carrots.
