Cheese and Onion Garlic Swirl Loaf

Cheese and onion garlic swirl loaf. First time making this, definitely not the last. It was just like the tiger bread that you get from the bakery only better. Absolutely recommend making this, it was truly delicious x

Ingredients:

1 cup warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
2 1/2 cups strong flour
1 sachet active dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated parmezan cheese
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
2 teaspoons onion powder

Directions:

Put sugar and yeast in the water and set aside to prove.

Put the flour, salt & onion powder in food processor/bowl and mix to combine.

Slowly add yeast mixture to the flour and knead a couple of minutes. Add olive oil and knead to combine.

Roll out into an oblong then spread cheese and garlic over. Roll into log shape and pinch ends closed.

Cut in half lengthways then twist them into a rope shape (gets a bit messy ) coil it round so it looks like a round loaf. Make sure it’s tight. Brush with melted butter and place on grease proof paper in the slow cooker for 1hr 45 minutes on high. Once done, place under a hot grill for a minute or two to brown the top.
